Information for
Patients
Foreign
If the couple is not based in Monterrey, it is important to let the specialist know during the diagnostic appointment. This will enable us to adjust the treatment protocol accordingly and determine the logistics for upcoming appointments and checkups.
Although the treatment can be begun at home, the presence of the patient at the IECH center is required starting in the week prior to her procedure, so that follow-ups can be performed. On average, the patient has to stay in the city for 10-12 days.
If her partner cannot be present during this entire period, there is no problem. His presence is not required until the day follicular aspiration is carried out (to provide the semen sample).
Recommendations
Each doctor has different protocols and handles appointments differently. However, we would like to share some recommendations so that the treatment is carried out in the best possible way:
- It is important to read the treatment protocol several times, until it is very clear. If you have any questions, however minimal, you should ask your doctor or the staff at IECH. There should never be any unsolved doubts.
- Medications can be purchased directly at the IECH center and received by courier.
* Remember that suspending and/or modifying the dosage at any moment without previous medical instructions can negatively affect the outcome of the procedure.

Information for
Pacientes
Foráneos
For patients outside of Mexico, at IECH we offer the service of carrying out the first appointment remotely. During this first meeting, the medical specialist acquires information, makes an analysis, and evaluates the couple's medical history to determine the cause of infertility. In addition, the physician tells the patients what tests and studies are necessary to confirm the diagnosis. Once the results are available, it is possible to identify the treatment or procedure that the couple may undergo with the highest likelihood of achieving a pregnancy.
